This is 6-year-old Juwan. 
On 18 March, she lost her mother and two siblings who were killed by the recent hostilities in Tal Al Sultan area of Rafah, southern Gaza. Her father was also injured and is being treated at the European Gaza Hospital. She was transferred from EGH to the Red Cross Field Hospital for treatment. 
As a consequence of war, both of her feet were burned, one toe was amputated, one arm was fractured, and her eye was injured. 
On 3 April, her loneliness was obvious, so one of our translators went over to play with her. Her energy came back quickly. 
Juwan likes to draw, smell flowers, and – of course – blow bubbles. She was so active and positive that day. 
Juwan dreams of becoming a doctor one day.
